Descriptive - Describe Yourself

Couch potato, master procrastinator and a source of optimism and positivity are examples of phrases that can be used to describe me, Justin. Never have I ever shown a sad nor moody face in public, hence the nickname – Mr. Smiley Face. I am rather open to people calling me that as I do not despise the name.

In my opinion, I think that I am quite good-looking and stunning. I have raven black hair that is usually covered in milky white hair gel that others would often mistaken for dandruff, or sometimes even white hair, when it dries up. My nose, slightly turned up, is often runny and itchy. I blame this on my brother’s obsession with collecting flower’s pollen and playing with it. Because of this, like salt and ocean, I cannot go anywhere without a packet of tissues, not to mention the embarrassment of having to wipe my runny nose in front of my friends. My arm is generally long and has a lighter skin tone than the other parts of my body. My fingers are shaped like the big long straw that comes with a T4 bubble tea.

As an introvert, I usually avoid large crowds and would rather do things alone. Instead of joining parades or social gatherings, I much prefer staying at home, sitting comfortably in front of my television and binge-watch an entire TV series. I personally like spooky, paranormal stories and urban legends, but there are no other ways of watching them than through YouTube and listening to them than through podcasts. Usually after watching TV, I would revise the things I have learnt in school or go out to have some fresh air.

Being an introverted seventh-grader who is still new to the secondary section, I am extremely afraid of the seniors. Having said that, I would feel extremely proud of myself when I made even the slightest contact with a senior, like a simple exchange of greetings.

With big sparkling eyes, which are acorn brown and changes to a shade lighter when struck by light, accentuated by my luscious inky-black lashes, arched above which are my perfectly shaped eyebrow, and thus rendering my eyes breathtaking to its beholder; an ideal straight-edged nose; rosy pink kissable lips; and a porcelain-smooth heart-shaped face – I look indubitably adorable.

My name is Annabelle, which coincides, much to my dismay, with the name of the infamous haunted spooky doll, Annabelle. Even with my enchanting look, I couldn’t escape my fate of being teased about my name, which eventually stopped when I had enough and told them that I would transform into the possessed doll and haunt them every night if they teased me again. I was happy yet sad when they took my threat seriously; how could they ever think that a girl as sweet as me could ever turn into something as horrible as that doll?!

I would describe my personality as the colour doeny – bubbly and cheerful. However, I am short-tempered and can get stubborn at times. For instance, if I am forced to do something against my will, my stubbornness would kick in and I would be as obstinate as a rock, refusing to do the bidding. Additionally, I am quite sensitive and impulsive.

In my spare time, I like to watch dramas, chat with my friends and listen to music while journaling. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and going for a run at the local park while enjoying the evening sky painted in a mixture of pink and orange swirls. Moreover, I enjoy going on a road trip on a rainy day when the sky is filled with patches of grey cotton clouds blocking out the sun. There are a lot of activities that I am eager to try in the future, like ice-skating, hanging out at a loud and bustling karaoke bar with my friends, learning new skills or sports and having a snowball fight on a cold frosty day. I can’t wait to fulfil myself.

As my favourite quote from Benjamin Franklin goes, “By improving yourself, the world is made better. Be not afraid of growing too slowly. Be afraid only of standing still.” I hope to improve myself and become a better person in the future.

Amongst strangers or people I don’t know too well, I will be as quiet as a mouse but if I am with friends and close family, I can be extremely boisterous.

In the future, I aspire to be a mix of both a teacher and a performer in the art industry. I hope to achieve my dream and will work hard to attain it.

My eyebrows are thick and slanted, which make me look constantly upset. What’s more, when I relax my face muscles, I frown naturally.

My personality fluctuates from one to the other. In class, I am a mature and responsible introvert who is as quiet as a mouse. However, once I am out of class or school, I become a friendly sociable extrovert, who is slightly dumber than my introverted self.

I will try to rid myself of these bad habits of mine.
